Heutzutage ist  es schwer einen Künstler zu finden der noch seine eigene Handschrift trägt.
Der in Leipzig geborene DJ & Produzent Marc DePulse ist einer von diesen wenigen, der seine musikalischen Wurzeln schon in früher Kindheit beim Akkordeonspielen, später dann sein Abitur in Musik machte und 7 Jahre im Schulchor verbracht hat.( wobei man hierbei erwähnen sollte, dass sein Interesse dort ausschließlich den Mädels galt;) )

Während dieser Zeit, 1999, kam er durch einen Freund zum produzieren. Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Djs beginnt Marc erst 3 Jahre später auf Vinyl in Clubs zu  spielen.

Ohne Frage wird in den nächsten Jahren das digitalisieren der Musik das Zukunftsmedium sein.
Allerdings  wird  für Marc DePulse Vinyl  das Hauptmedium bleiben, einerseits  des Feelings wegen was er beim Auflegen hat und andererseits weil er diese schwarze Schönheit am Leben erhalten möchte  .Obwohl auch die Verkaufszahlen seiner Mp3 von Monat zu Monat steigen.
Marcs nächstes Projekt ist es, in den nächsten Monaten  ein Live – Act zu produzieren.

Mit seiner Debutsingle, feature mit Holgi Star von Kiddazfm records und die nächsten Veröffentlichungen auf PM Musik, BluFin und Bondage music, zeigen  sein großes Soundspektrum, minimal elektronisch, immer up to date mit dem dancefloor!

Supported von Stephan Bodzin, Markus Kafka und vielen weiteren, ist Marcs kommende Single auf Ostwind Records „Ferner Liefen EP“ in den Starlöchern und erscheint jetzt im Dezember 2008.

Beeinflusst von Sounds von Spektrum, Super Flu,Dubfire, Marascia oder Popof, hat Marc im Oktober 2008 seine erste Mix - cd  auf ZYX Music veröffentlicht.
In Anlehnung an die neuen Releases sind wir stolz berichten zu können  dass PM Musik zu Beginn des nächsten Jahres 2009 eine „a.m. to PM„ tour quer durch Europa startet.

Berge zu erklimmen zählt zu einem der extravaganten Hobbys von HELMUT DUBNITZKY, seines Zeichen DJ und Producer aus den Ausläufern des Schwarzwaldes in Deutschland. Nicht von ungefähr stammt deswegen der Titel für seine erste Erfolgssingle “GIPFELSTÜRMER” auf dem Berliner Label PLAYMATE, mit denen er einen ersten Akzent setzen konnte in den mittlerweile große Welt der elektronischen Musikszene. Doch wie gewöhnlich ruht sich ein Bergsteiger nur kurz aus bevor er sich weiter auf den Weg macht. In seinem Falle erschienen deshalb rasch mindestens ebenso erfolgreiche Releases und Remixe auf Labels wie KIDDAZ FM (”Emerson & Dubnitzky - BBC”), SESSION DELUXE (”Dubnitzky & Curly - Nach eins kommt zwei / inkl. ANDOMAT3000 Remix”) oder dem Mannheimer Label 8BIT, mit denen er endgültig den Beweis antreten konnte, eine besondere Begabung für Minimal- und Detroidsound zu haben. Mit seinem Mentor MARTIN EYERER, dessen Label SESSION DELUXE er betreut, steht er regelmässig bei dessen legendären Labelnächten im Stuttgarter Club CLIMAX hinter den Plattentellern. Aber auch überregional konnte Helmut Dubnitzky sich bereits einen Namen machen, denn unzählige Auftritte in ganz Europa standen bereits in seinem Terminkalender. Derzeit wird auch schon wieder kräftig an neuen 12″ gearbeitet. Brandaktuell ist auf dem Label GLÜCKSKIND die Single “I’m fine thanks” erschienen, die er in Kooperation mit JÜRGEN KIRSCH erstellt hat und welche mit einem fulminanten Remix von MAREK HEMMANN abgerundet wird. Ausserdem erscheint noch 2008 auf dem überaus angesagten Label CECILLE ein Release, welchen er zusammen mit Labelboss und Freund NICK CURLY produziert hat. Ebenso darf man sich auf eine Nachfolgesingle von “BBC” auf KIDDAZ FM freuen sowie ein Release (”Gentle One”) auf MICRO:FON. Der Gipfel ist wie man sieht noch lange nicht bestiegen. Als Bergsteiger weiß man aber auch, dass jeder Schritt nach oben wichtig ist!

HELMUT DUBNITZKY [BIO ENGLISH]

In his capacity as DJ and producer the climbing of mountains is one of Helmut Dubnitzky’s more extravagant hobbies. Originally coming from the area at the foot of the Black Forest in Germany, the title of his first successful single „Gipfelstürmer“ was no surprise. Released on the Berlin lable PLAYMATE it caused a stir in the world of electronical music. However a climber never rests for a long time. Consequently, successful releases and remixes alike were published under labels such as KIDDAZ FM (”Emerson & Dubnitzky - BBC”), SESSION DELUXE (”Dubnitzky & Curly - Nach eins kommt zwei / inkl. ANDOMAT3000 Remix”)or under the Mannheim label 8BIT where HELMUT DUBNITZKY could prove his special talent for Minimal- and Detroidsound. Together with his mentor MARTIN EYERER for whose label HELMUT DUBNITZKY is in charge of, he is a regular guest at the turntables of the legendary label nights in Stuttgart’s club CLIMAX. Moreover, HELMUT DUBNITZKY is also nationwide known. Due to countless pan-European performances he was able to make a name for himself. At present the work on new 12’’ has begun. Late-breaking, the single “I’m fine thanks” was released under the label of GLÜCKSKIND which has been produced in cooperation with JÜRGEN KIRSCH and was brought to perfection with a brilliant mix by MAREK HEMMANN. Furthermore, in 2008 another release is still to come which is produced in collaboration with friend and labelboss NICK CURLY. Likewise one can look forward to the follow-up of the single “BBC” on KIDDAZ FM as well as to a release (“Gentle one”) on MICRO:FON. The peak is not ascended for a long time yet. Anyway, as a climber one also knows that each step forward counts!

KAISERDISCO [BIO ENGLISH]

The friendly boys from Hamburg, Frederic Berger and Patrick Buck, got to know each other in the context of their respective projects Nudisco and Kaiser Souzai for the label Hi Freaks in Patrick’s studio. After finding tons in common, they couldn’t wait to work with each other. Frederic had already celebrated several successes as part of Nudisco, and this also held true for Patrick as a member of the Kaiser Souzai crew. As they connected, it wasn’t long before their new project emerged - Kaiserdisco. The first production from them was a remix for Phunklarique. It was done originally as just a bir of fun, but as it sometimes goes, this ‘bit of fun’ turned into an absolute hit! Three days after its release, the remix shot to No. 2 on the Beatport Minimal charts and remained there for over a month. Those who know the Beatport charts realize it is filled with serious competition, so it was easy to see the direction Kaiserdisco was heading after their first brush with success- these boys want to head straight to the top, fast and without compromise.

Spending a month on the Beatport charts naturally attracts the attention of others, so remix inquiries naturally followed after their first hit. Groove Garcia and Koen Groenveld secured the services of Kaiserdisco for their last remix, which is currently No. 1 on the Decks charts. Of course there is also a lot of competition on the Decks charts- it is filled with the worldwide elite of electronic production.

These days, inquiries for remixes from Access Denied and Ji-Fi keep the boys busy. The completion of those tracks signals the start for the production on the first solo singles from Kaiserdisco on Berlin’s Micro.fon label. A part of the Kiddaz.fm crew, DJ Emerson and Holgi Star took the two under their wings in regards to booking…and put them under contract!

If they continue to develop as quickly as they have since being discovered, then the Kaiserdisco duo will be all over the scene. We’ll hear a lot more from them as Remixes, producers, and soon as a DJ and live act in clubs around the world!

Holger Flinsch wurde am 10.Juli 1971 in einem kleinen Dorf bei Frankfurt geboren.

In seiner Kindheit brachte ihm sein Vater die ersten Griffe auf der Klampfe bei, die er aber erst Jahre später als Guitarrist in einer deprogressiven Rockband einsetzte. Diese Gruppe schaffte es aber nie über den Übungskeller hinaus. Nach einem Eklat verließ Flinsch in gegenseitigem Einvernehmen die Band, um alleine mit Musik zu experimentieren. Kurz darauf löste sich die Band dann endgültig auf.

Flinsch fing an, mit einem ATARI , Sampler und Keyboard eine Art Ambient – Folk – Rock zu produzieren, die noch sehr stark von Einflüssen des englischen Multiinstrumentalisten Mike Olfield, hatte. Durch die neue Miditechnik und der Erfindung des Sequenzers hatte Flinsch nun 1000 Hände und konnte seinem Vorbild musikalisch nacheifern. Nach und nach schälte sich aber ein eigener Stil heraus, der immer elektronischer wurde.

Ab Mitte der 90er experimentierte er dann mit technoider Musik. Im damals pulsierenden Frankfurt lag einer der Keimzellen dieser neuartigen Musikform und Flinsch war somit zur richtigen Zeit am richtigen Ort. Die Tracks in dieser Phase produzierte er jedoch nur zur eigenen Freude, an eine Veröffentlichung dieser Stücke dachte Flinsch damals noch nicht.

Nach einem Studiobrand legte er dann eine Zwangspause ein und begann wieder von vorne, aber diesmal mit dem Ziel, seine Musik zu veröffentlichen.

1999 kam dann auf dem angesagte Neu Isenburger Label CHOKE Flinsch´s erster Tonträger, die legendäre Eruptive 02 Heimat heraus. Ein halbes Jahr darauf erschien schon sein erstes Album Der 10. Juli. Die Kritiker waren begeistert und von nun produzierte er Musik für das Choke Umfeld und andere Frankfurter Labels wie PHONO ELEMENTS, KONFEKT und PUNKT, auf dem Flinsch seinen zweiten Longplayer Collapsing New People erfolgreich veröffentlichte. Ende 2001gründete er das Label BASALT und beschloss, wegen der vermehrten Anfragen nun auch Live in Erscheinung zu treten.

Im Mai 2002 hatte Holger Flinsch im Berliner Ostgut seine Feuertaufe als Liveact und ist seither immer wieder in ausgesuchten Clubs aufgetreten wie U-Bar/Frankfurt , dem Osnabrücker Labor-Club, Warehouse Würzburg und dem Schweizer Club Area.

2003 überraschte er seine Fans mit dem dritten Album Regayov auf dem Offenbacher Label MIKROLUX. Dieses minimalistische Gesamtwerk aus Downbeat, Ambient und Soundscapes war ein wichtiger musikalischer Schritt für Flinsch.

Seit 2004 veröffentlicht er auch im Internet auf Labels wie THINNER oder REALAUDIO, auf dem der vierte Longplayer Organon erschien

2005 begann die fruchtbare Zusammenarbeit mit dem Berliner Label ROTARY COCKTAIL. Dort veröffentlichte Flinsch im Oktober des Jahres dann auch sein 5. Studioalbum mit dem vielsagenden Titel Hidden.

Mittlerweile hat Holger Flinsch weit über 30 Releases produziert und weitere werden folgen…

Trick & Kubic sind Frank Hermann aka Trick und Lars Niekisch aka Kubic. Die beiden Berliner Jungs bewegen sich mit Ihrem Sound aus Elektro, Minimal-House und funkigen Basslicks an der Spitze des “New German dubby electronic dirt” (Mixmag), der durch Labels wie Get Physical und Great Stuff im Jahr 2005 seinen weltweiten Siegeszug angetreten hat.
Trick & Kubic veröffentlichten im Herbst 2004 ihre erste Maxi “Can..t Stop” auf Great Stuff. Schon dieser erste Release hatte diesen besonderen, einzigartigen Ungang mit der Bassline, der dann bereits die 2. Trick & Kubic Maxi “Orbital Dance Machine” zu einem Internationalen Überflieger machte. Fatboy Slim..s frenetischer Ausruf “YES, YES, YES!!! Hurt me Baby - Hit..s the spot Big Time” klingt uns noch in den Ohren. So fand “Orbital Dance Machine” unter anderem den Weg auf die internationale Fatboy Slim Mix Compilation und wurde weltweit verlizensiert.
Mit Ihrer dritten Veröffentlichung auf Great Stuff “Easy” gelang Trick & Kubic nun der endgültige internationale Crossover Durchbruch. Bereits vor 12″ VÖ wurde der Titel von Ministry of Sound weltweit lizensiert. Das englische Dance Magazin Mixmag setzte den Titel sofort in die Top 10 der Lieblingsplatten der Redaktion, was für eine deutsche Produktion nicht an der Tagesordnung ist. Weitere VÖs als Niekisch&Hermann erschienen auf den Labels PM-Music und Sonntag-Music.
Als DJs begannen die beiden 2002 im Globus/Tresor in Berlin aufzulegen, mittlerweile touren Trick & Kubic durch die Clubs der Welt. Im Mai 2007, kurz vor Veröffentlichung ihrer nächsten EP „Believe/Container“ auf Great Stuff, erscheint dann auch ihre erste Mix Compilation auf dem befreundeten Berliner Label KIDDAZ.FM. Im Herbst 2007 steht dann endlich das Debütalbum der beiden Berliner Ausnahmetalente an.

TRICK & KUBIC [BIO ENGLISH]

Trick & Kubic are Frank Hermann aka Trick and Lars Niekisch aka Kubic. These two Berlin boys know how to move you with their trademark sound born out of a mix from electro, minimal house and funky basslicks. Riding high on the peak of “New German Dubby Electronic Dirt” (Mixmag), which began its worldwide popularity in 2005 through releases on labels such as Get Physical and Great Stuff Recordings.
Trick & Kubic published their 1st maxi “Can’t Stop,” in the Autunm of 2004 on GSR. This 1st release showed their special and unique talent for production and basslines with more gear changes than a formula one driver. Their 2nd release “Orbital Dance Machine” only confirmed them as truly international players. Fatboy Slims frantic feedback of “YES YES YES, Hurt me baby! Hits the spot big time” still rings in our ears. As a result, Orbital Dance Machine found its way, among other places, on to Fat Boy Slims international mix compilation and was licensed worldwide.
With their 3rd release on GSR, “Easy” managed to break the final international crossover borders. The British dance magazine Mixmag immediately smashed the tune into their top 10 favorite relaeases, which for a German record was still a new feat.
Further releases appeared on the labels PM Music and Sunday Music with the guys releasing under Niekisch & Hermann.
As DJ’s the two started out playing in 2002 at Berlin hotspots like Tresor and Casino, meanwhile the two tour the world playing international dates.
In May 2007, shortly before their next EP “Believe/Container” on GSR, came their first mix compilation on the well known Berlin label Kiddaz FM. And finally, in Autumn 2007, after far too long in the waiting, comes their first studio album to be released on Great Stuff – these exceptionally talented boys from Berlin deliver yet again!

Sebbo hat als Resident DJ das Airport seit Anfang der 90er entscheidend mitgeprägt. Mit seinem Mix für die Departure Airport-Compilation schließt sich nun der Kreis zu seinen Roots. Schließlich war der Club für ihn auch ein Sprungbrett für eine große DJ-Karriere. Diese begann bereits Ende der 80er im Würzburger Independent-Club Metro, wo er mit Acid House und dem EBM-Sound von Gruppen wie Front 242 seinen Einstand als DJ feierte. Mit dem W1 Master Mix folgte bereits in frühen Jahren eine eigene Radiosendung, bevor Sebbo 1992 seinen Freund und DJ-Kollegen Mirco Betz als Resident im Airport ablöste, mit dem er nach dessen Rückkehr aus den USA ein berüchtigtes DJ-Team bildete und fortan den Samstagabend bestritt. Nachdem die beiden mit ihrem legendären Noise Cluì große Erfolge feiern konnten, trennten sich ihre Wege Mitte der 90er und sebbo verfolgte seine Dj-Karierre im Alleingang.

1997 rief er mit der samstäglichen Radio Gong Clubnightì eine weitere Radiosendung ins Leben, die eng mit seiner Tätigkeit als Airport-DJ verknüpft war. Sebbos DJ-Skills waren äußerst gefragt und Ende 1998 übernahm er feste DJ-Engagements im Düsseldorfer Poison Club und dem Münchner Nachtwerk Club bei den Electric Delicate-Events. Einige Höhepunkte in Sebbos DJ-Karriere waren zweifellos die Auftritte auf den Maydays 1997 und 2003.Seit 1997 arbeitet Sebbo zudem mit Partysan zusammen. Im Rahmen zahlreicher Partysan-Events tritt Sebbo seitdem rund um den Globus, u.a. in Ibiza, Thailand, Kenia, Griechenland und österreich auf. Seit Mai 2001 veranstaltet er jeden letzten Freitag im Monat seine eigene Veranstaltung in der Soundbar „Soundkitchen“ im Airport. Ab 2003 legt sebbo regelmäsig in den angesagtesten Clubs Indiens auf und erfreut sich bei den asiatischen Partypeople großer Beliebtheit. Durch die gute connection zu den machern des circo loco auf Ibiza legt sebbo einmal im Sommer im legendären DC10 auf. Für das Jahr 2006 sind eine neue homepage www.djsebbo.de und einige neue Produktionen ua auf fullscale music (i don´t want another/release 12.05.06)geplant.

Sebbo [BIO ENGLISH]

Sebbo‘s leading position and his transportation of sound have been the main influences for the reputation and sound of the „Airport“ Club (Würzburg) since the early 90s. His DJ mix for the „Departure“ Airport Compilation is definitely going back to his roots. As it was the „Airport“ that as a platform for his talent helped him to build up a great DJ career. Sebbo‘s career started in the late 80s when he dropped Acid House and electro sound from the likes of Front 242 at a little Indie club called „Metro“ in his hometown Würzburg. He established his own radio show entitled „W1 Master Mix“ before joining his longtime DJ partner Mirco Betz at the „Airport“. Over the years, the duo became an infamous DJ team, before splitting up in the mid 90s.

Sebbo continued on his own, started a new radio show called „Radio Gong Clubnight“ while the demand for his outstanding DJ skills increased. He became resident DJ at venues such as „Poison Club“ (Düsseldorf) and „Electric Delicate“ at Munich’s „Nachtwerk Club“. Some highlights in his career were trhe appearances at the legendary Mayday´s 1997 and 2003. In 1997 Sebbo joined forces with the magazine „Partysan“ and since then he has played at many events around the globe for them, such as Ibiza, Thailand, Kenya, Greece or Austria, just to name a few. In May 2001 Sebbo started a new monthly event at Airport called »Soundkitchen«.From 2003 on sebbo is playing often in the biggest and hippest club´s around delhi in india. The asian partycrowd is really going crazy for sebbo. Sebbo started a new recidency at the mega club home14 in Düsseldorf. The club was founded by the legendary tribehouse crew

Mit seinem musikalischen Standbein in Berlin,  hauptansässig in Halle, ist der DJ - Produzent und Labelinhaber schon seit Jahren sehr gefragt.
Seine Releases sind  so erfolgreich und vor allem einzigartig, das kurzerhand ein eigenes Label PM MUSIC gegründet wurde um seine außergewöhnlichen Tracks an die feierwütige Menge  und vor allem auf den Floor zu bringen. Machen wir einen kleinen Streifzug mit Ron, from past to future…
1994 fing alles an, als Ron während seines ersten Clubbesuchs mit einem noch relativ unbekannten, mitreißenden Musikstil konfrontiert wurde: Techno und Trance.
Für Ron bricht ein neues Zeitalter an. Von Skateboard und Hip Hop zu Techno House & Trance. Fasziniert von den treibenden Klängen, versucht er sich erstmals hinter den Platterntellern, mit Elan, einem geschickten Händchen und  soviel Energie, dass kurz darauf sein erster Gig anstand, auf den er noch heute mit einem breiten Lächeln zurückblickt…
Von da an kommt Ron als regionaler DJ viel rum & ist quasi fast ausschließlich on the road und lernt 2003 die Kiddaz.FM Crew kennen.
Sie sind begeistert von seinen Ideen, seiner Musik & seiner bescheidenen, freundlichen Art und so wird kurzerhand beschlossen, Ron die Möglichkeit zu geben, ein Sublabel von der Base Kiddaz.FM zu starten:
PM Music ist geboren.
Ende 2003 steigt Ron bei Kiddaz.FM Booking ein , um sich voll und ganz dem Touren & Produzieren zu widmen und holte sich Künstler wie Dave Shokh, Luca & Paul, Emerson, Gunjah, Holger Nielson, Super Flu etc.
Ende 2006 darf Ron auf Oscars Label Karate Klub die Nummer 010 Veröffentlichen, die  Nettement EP schafft es in zahlreiche Playlists internationaler Djs.
Felix da Housecat ist verzückt von der EP und hat sie fast ein Jahr lang in seinen cases.
Kurz darauf zieht sich Ron in sein Homestudio zurück und beginnt eine Projektarbeit mit den Super Flus, unter dem Namen DIE RÜCKKEHR DER TANZLEHREHRERdie 2007 im Februar auf PM Music erscheint & bereits nach ein paar Wochen komplett vergriffen ist.
2007 erscheint das erste Mix-Album mit „play with us“ auf PM Music Compiled & Mixed vom labelchef persönlich.
Das “Play with us”-Meisterstück präsentiert nicht nur sein aktuelles - mit Liebe arrangiertes - DJ Showcase,
sondern gibt einen mal angenehm warmen, mal deep melodiösen sowie treibenden Einblick in Ron Flatters musikalisches Schaffen. Die Reise durch die verschiedenen Klangwelten lädt den geneigten Hörer zum Verweilen ein, Emotionen werden frei und er zaubert uns ein Lächeln ins Gesicht.
In der Verschmelzung seiner einzigartigen DJ-Skills und dem vielschichtigen Sound liegt die Einzigartigkeit dieses Silberlings.
2007 erfüllt sich der nächste Herzenswunsch von Ron, er released auf seinem Lieblingslabel BOXER SPORT die KINKERLITZ EP, die Weltweit für Aufsehen sorgt und ihm internationalen Ruhm verschafft.
Daraufhin folgen die ersten internationalen residencies in Frankreich, Spanien, Italien und natürlich in Berlin

ROBERT BABICZ [BIO ENGLISH]

On January 5th 1973 Robert is born in Poland. Since 1980 he’s living in Germany and since the beginning of the nineties he released 5 albums and multiple maxi singles on labels like Disko B, Force Inc, Mille Plateaux, Bpitch Control, PAR, Taktik, Junkfood, Important Records or Knee Deep – the Label of DJ Rush. His pseudonymes Rob Acid, Robert Babicz, Sontec, Dicabor or Atlon Inc impart the wide range of his musical outgrowths; he hits different spots and leaves his marks.Robert was led to music through a mixture of accident and frustration. Dedicated to his profession as programmer, his frustration about an undiscoverable error drove him to the tracker program of his Commodore Amiga, in a sleepless night. This was the last time, he set down on the Commodore to use it for programming – since that night he was driven to the Computer by music.

His first Maxi Single he released on Holger Wick’s Label “Labworks” (Holger Wick turned out to run the “Sense” Label and become product manager for EFA today).Already his second Maxi, found its way through multiple DJ loud speakers and got licensed to “ffrr”, England. In England it entered the Bullets and almost made it into the official sales-charts. And all Robert needed for his first success, was the rented equipment of Oliver Bondzio (memorized as one half of “Hardfloor”) – a 909, 303 and a 606.

1993 his first production on „Junkfood“ was released – one of the best Labels, at the height of Acid. He dedicated the tracks to his 4 friends: Claus Bachor (D2000), Roland Casper, Malte Galic (today executive board of Native Instruments), Sascha Kösch (runs the De-Bug magazine / DJ in Berlin) and Riley Reinhold (organizer of the Cosmic Orgasm Parties).

His first step into the Clubs followed under the pseudonym “Acid Warrior” on “Junkfood”. DJs like Sven Väth hosted the Vinyl for several months in their cases and so followed the logical consequence: Rob’s first live appearance in Sven’s legendary OMEN club – a club which fascinated Ravers from all over Europe in the nineties.

1994 the next Ravemonster „Ein Blick ins Nichts (a view into nothing)“ was released on Bob Humid’s Label (today the technical editor of Groove Magazine). Since he is known in the scene, Rob Acid’s productions are as demanded as the entry to Sven Väths OMEN temple.

Therefore it came to a signing on “Important Records”, which has been one of Germany’s major labels, among “Jungfood” and “Harthouse”.

Robert also discovered his love to abstract sounds, Chill Out and Ambient music celebrated by artists like “Mixmaster Morris” or “Aural Float”. And especially the very, listed his first “Dicabor” Album in their Playlists and Mixmaster Morris even posted it in his ‘charts of the year’. The artwork got released on the Label of Matthias Roeingh aka Dr. Motte, who became one of the most outstanding protagonists of the young scene by inventing the “Love Parade”. Still, Matthias Roeingh, as well as Mate Galic and Roland Casper, is a good friend and latterly also part of one of Rob Acid’s Projects.95 and 96 could be called “Rave Years”, Rob is well known as Live Act and rocks all popular Main Events like “Mayday”. The first abroad-bookings bring him to the USA, Canada, Malta, Estonia and other European countries, of course.During this time, Rob Acid finds less time for his productions because he’s booked about every weekend. To play “really live” is most important to him. Till today, he improvises instead of coming up with a ready-made-Set. Therefore his Live Acts are celebrated as unique events. “Playing live is for the moment, not for reproduction”. Which you could interpret in reverse: reproductions are not made for the situational, enthusiastic Party-Event of his understanding.

In the end of 96 Rob teamed up with Mate Galic, who moderates the legendary „Housefrau TV“-Show together with Sabine Christ at that time. (Remember the washing machine!) The team is not to apart for years. Psychedelic experiences of every kind follow. Excessive Sound-research and absurd Parties. Out of transistor radio, bunker and porn films on big screen, the two filtered the essence which is reflected on the “Taktik” Label, arisen in 97.

“Taktik” pushes forward, car racing house, extreme sound research or Minimal might be helpful terms to subscribe the sound – but maybe they are not.

Meanwhile Techno became more than a homogenous, ecstatic body. Separate Groups appeared, the Cologne Minimalism was born and between Frankfurt and Berlin a strange correlation became present.

2000 Robert is gifted by a daughter and does another important Step. Influenced trough powerful productions in the R’n’B Scene, he starts to search after a new sound. The Project “Atlon Inc” is found and hosted by Achim Sczepanski’s Label “Mille Plateaux”.Body focusing Rave ecstasy is taking place on Achim’s “Force Inc” Label.After his time with „Junkfood”, Rob founds his own label again in 2001. It’s named “Short cuts” and Rob brought out 6 releases on it. The soon following Sub label “TB International” stands for the early Acid/Jack Sound of Chicago in the late eighties.At the same time, multiple requests of Hard- and Software producers ask for Sound design. He programs Pre-sets for “Native Instruments”, Steinberg, and gets adopted to the endorsement of Native right away.

As a result of it and the influence of Ivo Malek, Morton Subotnic and Karl-Heinz Stockhausen (who is now living in the neighbourhood) he is doing sound research again. 2 albums appear under his real name Robert Babicz on “Mille Plateaux”, which transfer the language of the experimental music of the 60’s and 70’s (musique concrète) into our days.2003 again, is a year of action. On one hand he starts a Jazz project (trumpet: Matthias Mainz, drums: Tom, guitar: Alexs Gunjah plus other guest musicians) and on the other hand he is breaking out the Rave animal and alias “Sontec” he releases the Track “Inside” on the newly founded Label “PAR”, which Sven Väth was playing on and on after he got the Dubplate of it. The official release is just as popular and again Robert is listed in several DJ Playlists (such as Dave Clarke’s for example). In the Groove Magazine “Inside” entered Chart Position 8.
2004 Robert is still true to his primary-soup Techno, but still he is one of those musicians who keep searching constantly and while the tracks of one project are released he’s already scouting out new paths. To special events Rob Acid comes together with drummer and guitarist.

For the rest of 2004, the rebirth of “Dicabor” and “Atlon Inc” are planned and also the first film soundtrack for ARTE will be produced. Idea and conception: Nikolas Rousseau. Project name: “Sor-Terre.

Marcus Meinhardt kam in seiner frühen Jugend schon mit Musik in Berührung. Spätestens Anfang der 90er, als der Techno in den deutschen Clubs sich zu etablieren begann, entfachte seine Leidenschaft für die elektronische Musik und wurde von da an ein fester Bestandteil seines Lebens. Aus dem begeisterten Autodidakt wurde ein aktiver Mitwirker. Als Muna und später SMS Team-Mitglied erweiterte er nicht nur sein Know-how auf dem Gebiet des Auflegens. Es folgen ziemlich bald darauf eigene Projekte und Ideen, die teilweise ihren Weg bis in die Hauptstadt finden: Heimspiel, Vereinshaus Micasa, und nicht zur letzt seine eigene erfolgreich etablierte Veranstaltungsreihe HomeSweetHome. Letztere bot ihm, in seiner neuen Heimat Berlin, ein wichtiges Podium für eine musikalisch freie Entfaltung und erfreut sich einer langjährigen positiven Resonanz. Der Wahlberliner Marcus Meinhardt erlangt Annerkennung und zunehmenden Erfolg als DJ durch seine treibenden Sets in fast allen führenden Clubs und etablierten Festivals Europas. In der Produktion eigener Tracks scheint er endgültig die Brücke vom DJ zum selbst produzierenden Musiker zu schlagen und veröffentlicht 2004 seine erste EP.
2007 gründet Marcus Meinhardt sein eigenes Label UponYou Records zusammen mit seinen Kollegen und Freunden Marco Resmann und Hawks. Er baut seine Laufbahn als Musiker hier weiter aus. Seinen eigenen Labelkünstlern, sowie Musikern, Musikkollegen und Freunden national wie international, bietet er mit seinem Label Upon You Records seit 01.01.2007 eine Spielwiese der besonderen Art.

MARKUS MEINHARDT [BIO ENGLISH]

Marcus Meinhardt was already in touch with music in his early youth. No later than the beginnings of the 90’s, when techno started to establish in the german clubs, his passion for electronic music was lid and it became an elementary component of his life. It was then, when the autodeduct turned to an activist. As MUNA and later as a member of the SMS Team, he managed to enlarge his know-how in the domain of spinning records. Soon own ideas and projects followed- some finding their way into the capital: Heimspiel, Vereinshaus, Micasa and last but not least his own event alingnment- the successful Home-Sweet-Home which provided him an important plattform for a musically free expansion, ever since enjoying a steady growing popularity. Due to his driving sets, Marcus Meinhardt- the Berlin boy by choice- acheaved more and more appreciation- enjoying success as a dj in almost all leading clubs and established festivals in Europe. With the production of his own tracks he bringed from a dj to a self made music producer- releasing his first EP in 2004. Together with his friends and colleagues Marco Resmann and Hawks Grunert, he launches his own Label: Upon You Records on January 1’st 2007. Here he is enlarging his career as a musician even further. Since then he is providing a playground of the special kind for his label artists, musicians, music colleagues and friends- nationally and internationally.

Inzwischen ist Holgi Star (mit bürgerlichem Namen Holger Gutwald) ein weltweit gefragter Top DJ und fungiert zusammen mit DJ Emerson als Labelchef der Berliner Underground Technoimprints kiddaz.fm, playmate music, micro.fon und Style Rockets. Des Weiteren betreiben die beiden in Kooperation mit Tony Rohr und Dietrich Schoenemann das in New York beheimatete Label Freak Waves.

Wie alles begann…

Nach einigen Jahren beim ersten deutschen Technomagazin Frontpage stand die Verwirklichung eigener künstlerischer Projekte und der Aufbau einer musikalischen Plattform an. Das Label Timing Recordings war geboren.

Das hatte zur Folge, dass Holgis Einstieg ins DJing mit gebrochenen Beats im Rahmen der „Dangerous Drums” Partys nicht lange auf sich warten ließ.

1999 gründete er zusammen mit DJ Emerson das Label kiddaz.fm berlin, um sich von nun an ganz dem Techno & Techhouse zu widmen und aufstrebenden Künstlern wie DJ Emerson, Marco Remus, Dave Shokh, Ron Flatter eine Plattform zu geben.

Im Frühjahr 2003 veröffentlichte er sein Debutalbum „Starwars” auf kiddaz, das sowohl im In- als auch im Ausland für Furore sorgte. So gab es den grandiosen Titeltrack des Albums „Starwars” in Japan sogar als Klingelton.

Im Oktober 2003 wurde er als erster kiddaz-Artist für eine umfangreiche Brasilien Tour gebucht, auf der er 20 Gigs in ganz Brasilien spielte. Darunter Sao Paulo (Cicuito, Lov.E, Mood Club) , Curitiba (Vibe Club) , Campinas (Kraft Club), Rio de Janeiro und viele mehr. Des Weiteren führten ihn seine DJ Gigs rund um den Globus in Länder wie, Japan, Portugal, Frankreich, Spanien, Russland, Kroatien, Österreich, Schweiz, Griechenland…

Doch trotz all der Touren vernachlässigte Holgi Star niemals die Studioarbeit: Die Ärzte durften sich ebenso über einen Holgi Star Remix für ihr “Rock ‘n’ Roll Übermensch” freuen, wie Hardy Hard, Frankie Bones oder Dietrich Schoenemann.

2004 gibt es mit dem Longplayer “Hardgroovin’ Sessions” ein starkes Follow Up, das in der Presse große Beachtung findet und unter anderem zum Album des Monats in der Raveline gekürt wird.

Holgi Star setzt mit „Hardgroovin´ Sessions” ein klares musikalisches Statement und präsentiert ein Album, welches sein erfolgreicher Debut mühelos toppt und sich umgehened in den Cases von renommierten Artists wie Laurent Garnier, Miss Kittin, Paul van Dyk oder Pete Tong wiederfindet.

Der nächste Streich - die „Pimp Plate” EP - erscheint auf dem legendären Primate-Sublabel Primevil Mitte 2004. Sie sorgt in England - dem Mutterland des Fußballs und des Technos - für Furore und avanciert innerhalb kürzester Zeit zum Clubhit.

Ende 2004 steuern Holgi Star und Dave Shokh einen Remix zu Dietrich Schoenemanns und Tony RohrsVideo Brain” auf dem Tora Tora Tora Label bei. Der Remix genießt den Support von Sven Väth, Andre Galluzzi & Monika Kruse, um nur einige zu nennen.

2005 folgen schon die nächsten zwei Releases auf Hidden Agenda: die „Bang Bang” Ep und „Halli Galli” - beide gemeinsam mit Dave Shokh produziert.

Seine erste Mix CD im Rahmen der eigenen Kiddmix Serie 001 mit dem Namen „Departement 9″ und die folgenden Tour rücken den umtriebigen Holgi Star weiter in den Fokus der Öffentlichkeit.

Etwas ruhiger und fast parallel zu „Halli Galli” kommt Ende 2005 die erste Holger Nielson (Holgis Alter Ego für minimale Sounds) gemeinsam mit ND aus Halle auf micro.fon - dem neuen Imprint für advanced electronic music aus dem Hause kiddaz.fm.

Holgi Star - My Life is Techno [BIO ENGLISH]

These days Holgi Star (Holger Gutwald) is a worldwide demanded Top DJ and is running together with DJ Emerson the Berlin based underground Technoimprints: kiddaz.fm, playmate music, micro.fon and Style Rockets. In addition to this they run the New York based label Freak Waves in cooperation with Tony Rohr and Dietrich Schoenemann.How it all began…

After some years at Germany´s first Techno magazine Frontpage it was time to realise his own projects and to build a musical plattform. So, the imprint Timing Recordings was born.

Consequently Holgi was entering the DJ-Biz with brocken Beats within the scope of the notorious „Dangerous Drums” partys.

In 1999 - now devoted to Techno & Techhouse - he founded the label kiddaz.fm berlin together with DJ Emerson to give upcoming artists such as DJ Emerson, Marco Remus, Dave Shokh, Ron Flatter a platform.

In Spring 2003 Holgi Star released his debut album „Starwars” on kiddaz, causing a furore nationally as well as internationally. The outstanding titel track of „Starwars” was even available as ringtone in Japan.

In October 2003 he was the first artist of kiddaz getting booked for a big Brasil tour, playing 20 gigs all over Brasil: Among Sao Paulo (Cicuito, Lov.E, Mood Club), Curitiba (Vibe Club), Campinas (Kraft Club), Rio de Janeiro and many more. Additionally his DJ gigs the globe brought him to countries like Japan, Portugal, France, Spain, Russia, Croatia, Austria, Switzerland, Greece…

But despite all this touring Holgi Star never neglected his studio work: Die Aerzte were pleased with a Holgi Star Remix for their “Rock ‘n’ Roll Uebermensch” as well as Hardy Hard, Frankie Bones or Dietrich Schoenemann.

2004 is bringing the longplayer “Hardgroovin’ Sessions”. A massive follow up that attracted a lot of interest within the press und became album of the month in Raveline.

Holgi Star made a clear musical statement with „Hadgroovin´ Sessions”, presenting an album that topped his debut easily. Within little time it found its way into the cases of renowned artists such as Laurent Garnier, Miss Kittin, Paul van Dyk or Pete Tong.

The next trick was the „Pimp Plate” EP on Primate´s legeandary sublabel Primevil in the mid of 2004. This EP rocked the floors in England - the mother country of football and Techno - advancing to a club anthem quickly.

At the of 2004 Holgi Star and Dave Shokh created a remix for Dietrich Schoenemann´s und Tony Rohr´sVideo Brain” on the Tora Tora Tora imprint. The remix is enjoying support by the likes of Sven Vaeth, Andre Galluzzi and Monika Kruse, just to name a few.

2005 sees the next two releases on Hidden Agenda: the „Bang Bang” Ep and „Halli Galli” - both produced together with Dave Shokh.

His first mix CD within the scope of their own Kiddmix series 001 named „Departement 9″ and the following Tour put Holgi Star more into the focus of public.

End of 2005 sees Holger Nielson (Holgi´s alter ego for minimal sounds) together with ND releasing a bit more relaxed stuff on micro.fon - the new up and coming imprint for advanced electronic music by kiddaz.fm.

More projects are scheduled for playmate music, micro.fon, hidden agenda…

Haito Göpfrich startete seine DJ- Karriere 1988, nachdem er seine Jugend feiernd und tanzend zu Sets von Hans Nieswandt & Eric D. Clark auf den SPEX-Partys verbracht hatte.

Nachdem er Jahrelang in Süddeutschland, Österreich  und der Schweiz gespielt hatte, entschied er sich 1996 nach Berlin zu ziehen und hatte kurz darauf seine ersten Residencies in Clubs, wie dem Suicide Club Berlin, Gmf @Wmf oder dem legendären Casino Club. Desweiteren arbeitete er dort als Booker und gilt als Mitbegründer der Berliner Clublegende.

Seit 1996 spielte er regelmäßig auf verschiedenen Mayday und Loveparade Veranstaltungen.

Zahlreiche Solo-Auftritte & Touren in Ländern wie Japan, Brasilien, Kolumbien, Griechenland, der Schweiz, Holland & Frankreich ließen Haito zu einem intenationalem Top DJ aufsteigen.
Haito ist bekannt als Entertainer hinter den decks.
Leidenschaftliche, Marathonsets voller Hingabe zum Publikum, gelegentlich auch hin bis zur Selbstzerstörung, sind sein Markenzeichen.
Höchtes Vernügen bereitet es ihm allzu verkopftes Schubladendenken und konservatives musikalisches Selbstverständnis aufzubrechen. Bestehende Grenzen nach Belieben zu verschieben & aufzuheben.
Musikalische und sonstige Anbiederungen, Gleichschaltung sind sicher nicht sein Fall.

Vielmehr wird HAITO für seine kompromisslose Musikselektion, seinen Taste,
seine weitgefächerte Bandbreite Elektronischer Musik
und nicht zuletzt für seine mitreissenden Darbietungen im Club sei es in seinen live oder dj-sets, geschätzt.

Haito ist erwachsener geworden, sein sound verkörpert einen reifen Künstler, der allerdings seinen Hang zu jugendlichem Wahnsinn noch nicht veloren hat…niemals verlieren wird.

& zu einem Ausnahmetalent in der Branche.

Seit 1998 produziert er mit seinem Gerätepark Musik die bewegt, präsentiert sich auf  Labels wie SPAGAT MUSIC, das er 2004 mit seinem Partner und Freund LEXY gründete, oder veröffentlicht auf:
KOMMUNE KREUZBERG, GHETTOCHARGE , KICKBOXER und KIDDAZ.FM.

Als Remixer durfte er die Stücke von Künstlern wie Tok Tok & Soffy O, den Raketen, Susie van der Meer, Paula und Pitchtuner  veredeln und seinen eigenen Stempel modernen Clubsounds aufdrücken.

Nach dem großen Erfolg der „E-LOVE EP“ im Jahre 2008 auf dem Kölner Ausnahme Labelkollektiv BOXER Recordings hat man sich entschlossen sein erstes Artistalbum im Frühjahr 2009 unter dem Namen „BRUCHSTÜCKE“ zu signen.

Album Remixes wird es von Sascha Funke, Modeselektor Simon Baker & vielen anderen Gästen geben,die den Haitosound, schätzen, verstehen und lieben…

Gianni Vitiello ist DER Vozeige-DJ der Berliner Underground-Technoszene.
Aber auch weit über die Stadtgrenzen hinaus ist der Name Vitiello ein Garant für gerockte Häuser.
Kein Wunder – wie kaum ein zweiter beherrscht Gianni die Kunst, eine Crowd mit einem zweistündigen
DJ-Feuerwerk in Atem zu halten oder die Stimmung langsam hochkochen zu lassen.
Sein Geheimnis liegt in der Mischung: progressiv rockende Beats oder „four to the floor mit Köpfchen“,
wie Gianni selber seinen Stil beschreibt.

Dave Shokh
… der 22 jährige Stuttgarter zog 2004 nach Berlin und macht seitdem das, was er am Besten kann: Musik. Er steckt hinter jeder VÖ auf Playmate Music, veröffentlicht Platten mit Monika Kruse oder Tony Rohr und fungiert obendrein als Produzent für das Debut Album von DJ Karotte. Jetzt hat er sein eigenes Label Dipolter Records an den Start gebracht. Dieses macht es sich zur Aufgabe, den Elektrosound mit dem Dave aufwuchs, in neue Formen zu gießen, viele eigene Visionen draufzupacken, gut durchzuschütteln und es dann ohne Rücksicht auf Trends zu veröffentlichen. Außerdem will er damit den Nachwuchs supporten – was er vor nicht allzu langer Zeit selber war. Im Jahres Poll der Raveline war Dave im Jahr 2003 unter den Top 10 der Newcomer platziert, auch sein Album ‚Shokh’n’Roll’ - sein erstes Release überhaupt! - schaffte es in die Top 20 und bekam seitens Groove und De:Bug ebenso positive Resonanz. Seitdem tauchen seine Produktionen in DJ Playlists wie denen von Hell, Väth oder Garnier auf. Besonders die ‚Luna e Sole EP’ Anfang 2005 sorgte für Aufsehen. Neben Gigs hierzulande kann er u.a. auf Events in Japan, Russland oder UK zurückblicken.
Sowohl beim Auflegen als auch beim Produzieren gilt für ihn das Gesetz: Es gibt kein Gesetz. Dave nennt das Shokh’n’Roll und man weiß, dass er mit seinen Elektro- und Techhouse Scheiben ein essentielles Set formt, das vor allem Emotion, Funk und Seele hat; aber man kann sich nie sicher sein, mit welcher Kombination er diesmal die Leute aufmischen wird. Jedoch dass er von Anfang bis Ende 101 % gibt, um für eine standesgemäße Party zu sorgen.

… the 22 year old from Stuttgart moved to Berlin in 2004 and since that time he’s been doing what he does best, Music. Dave has been the man behind every release on Playmate Music. In addition he releases records together with Monika Kruse, Tony Rohr and is the producer of German House Hero DJ Karotte. He just launched his own imprint Dipolter Records. The Dipolter label stands for high quality Electro and Techhouse and supports the brightest young talents – just like Dave used to be some time ago.

Dave was voted Germany’s Top 10 newcomer in the biggest techno magazine Raveline; his album “Shokh’n'Roll” also made it into the Top 20. His productions have been played by top jocks such as Sven Vaeth, DJ Hell and Laurent Garnier. Whether he’s on tour in Japan, Russia, UK or somewhere in Germany, Shokh has his own DJ and producing rule: There are no rules. Dave calls that Shokh’n'Roll and everyone knows that he creates one essential set out of Electro, Minimal and Techhouse which is a fine mixture of Emotion, Funk and Soul; no one knows which combination he will use this time to rock the show! Es ist ein langer Weg vom Kauf der ersten Single Mitte der 70er bis zum Soloartist mit weltweiten DJ Gigs heute.

Dazwischen liegen erste Auflegversuche mit Funk & Dance Classics auf Privatpartys in den 80ern, die Veranstaltung eigener Raves mit seinem Freund und Partner Asem Shama Anfang der 90er, mit dem er zu dieser Zeit ein Studio aufbaut und das erste eigene Label sowie das Projekt „Vanguard” ins Leben ruft, über 50 Veröffentlichungen auf Labels wie Bush, Planet Of Drums, Frisbee Tracks und Spiel-Zeug sowie unzählige Auftritte als Liveact und DJ.

Nach Abschluss seines Studiums 2004 kann er sich voll auf die Musik und somit auch auf seine Soloproduktionen konzentrieren, wobei gleich sein erster Track „Galaxy” bei Kompakt landet und als Kompakt Extra/Speicher 32 Release wie eine Bombe einschlägt.
„Ich hatte vorher keinen Kontakt zu den Kompakt Jungs, doch aus allem was ich bis dahin gehört und gelesen hatte, hatte ich immer das Gefühl, dass eine Gemeinsamkeit besteht und Sie meine Sachen mögen würden”.
So durfte er auch gleich noch eine Speicher nachlegen und gründete mit Franco Zeiger Ende 2005 das von Kompakt vertriebene Label „Sportclub”, welches seine zweite Plattform wird und durch Stücke wie „Break Out”, „Thunk” oder die „Hola Guapa” E.P. die weltweite Popularität ansteigen lässt.
Dazu tragen auch die im März 2006 erscheinende Kompakt Maxi „Light In The Dark” und die Solo-Speicher 41- Maxi einen wesentlichen Teil bei.
„Die Stücke für „Light In The Dark” hab ich speziell für Kompakt produziert. Es war wie vorbestimmt, dass die so rauskommen müssen, irgendwie ein bisschen unheimlich.”

Nach ein paar Remixen kehrt er 2007 zu seinen guten alten Jungs bei „Spiel-Zeug Schallplatten” zurück und liefert auf der „Radio Controlled E.P.” zwei Peaktime Tunes ab, gefolgt von „Easy” auf deren „Hi Freaks” Label.

Für Axel, der 3 Alben mit Asem produziert hatte, ist es nun an der Zeit, sein erstes Soloalbum zu veröffentlichen, welches im Juni 2008 auf dem Kölner Karmarouge Label erscheint, große Begeisterung bei den Kollegen erntet und ihn weiter nach vorne pusht.

2008 verbringt Axel mehr Zeit, um Berlin zu erkunden als im Studio zu arbeiten, aber er liefert neben zwei Sportclub Veröffentlichungen immer noch Remixes für Guy Boratto und Sian ab und steuert einen Track für das aufstrebende Berliner Label „Upon You Records” bei.

Trotz des langen Weges ist Axel noch lange nicht müde, denn die Faszination Musik und Club treibt ihn an.

Wo immer er auch gerade ist, ob im Studio, im Flieger oder nassgeschwitzt nach 6 Stunden auflegen in der Panorama Bar, eins ist sicher: er lebt für die Musik und gibt alles was er kann, um uns mit dem Sound des 21sten Jahrhunderts zu verzaubern und zu begeistern.

AXEL BARTSCH [BIO ENGLISH]

It’s a long road that leads from the purchase of your first single in mid-70s to establishing yourself as a respected solo artist with gigs all over the world today.

There were, of course, the first tentative steps, spinning funk and dance classics at house parties in the 80s. These led to Axel promoting raves in the early 90s with old friend and partner-in-crime Asem Shama, with whom he then built a studio, set up their first label and collaborated on the Vanguard project. Next came the fifty or so releases on respected and innovative labels like Bush, Planet of Drums, Frisbee Tracks and Spiel-Zeug, not to mention the innumerable live P.A.s and DJ sets…

After completing his studies in 2004, Axel was finally free to focus all his efforts on music, especially his increasingly sophisticated solo works. The fresh application of time and energy landed him one side of the now classic Speicher 26, released on Kompakt’s prestigious Extra offshoot.‘Galaxy’, was a growling, bass-driven bomb and deservedly became an international smash, setting dancefloors alight.

“I’d not had previous contact with the Kompakt guys,” Axel says, “But after all I’d read and heard, I got the feeling we had a lot in common, and that they’d like what I was doing…” And like it they did, commissioning another mighty Speicher production (‘Was Bleibt Ist Die Musik’) and acting as distributor for the newly minted Sportclub label, which Axel founded together with Franco Zeiger in late 2005. Sportclub has provided Axel with another platform from which to release his own heady brand of modernist techno - releases like ‘Breakout’, ‘Thunk’ and the ‘Hola Guapa’ EP have ensured a steep rise in his popularity, and put his name on the lips of DJs, labels and tastemakers across the globe.

Any doubt that Axel Bartsch had truly arrived was dispelled with the release of his ‘Light in the Dark’ maxi for Kompakt’s main imprint and the solo Speicher 41. “I produced ‘Light in the Dark’ with Kompakt in mind…” Axel tells us, “I guess it was meant to be, kind of eerie…”

After a few Remixes he returns to his good old partners at “Spiel-Zeug Schallplatten” to deliver two awsome peaktime tunes on the “Radio Controlled E.P.” in 2007 followed by “Easy” on their “Hi Freaks” imprint.

He had done three albums in cooperation with Asem and now it´s time for his first soloalbum “Kiss” which hits the scene on Cologne based “Karmarouge Records” in June 2008 and takes him another step ahead celebrated by almost all upfront DJs in the techno circus.

2008 is the year when he really enjoys Berlin and spends more time to see what the city´s got to offer then in the studio, but he still delivers rmxs. for Guy Boratto and Sian beside two Sportclub releases and a track for Berlins hot shot “Upon You Records”.

So the road’s been long, sure, but Axel remains tireless - his fascination with music and clubbing keeps him happy and, luckily for us, productive.

After two years promoting the Santa Catarina´s busy nightlife, Anna Paula Cabral changed places and became dj Aninha. Nowadays she´s one of the major female names in Brazil, being praised for her partners and brazilian e-music critics.
Aninha was born in Blumenau, but it was in Balneário Camboriú (the brazilian Ibiza) where she started her career djing at Café Pinhão Club, her first promoter employment. 90´s teenager, used to hear Kraftwerk, Erasure, New Order and Technotronic, but she says that her major influence was the parties she worked.
Aninha plays house, electro house and minimal, always looking for groovy sounds. She is Warung Club´s resident, chosen the third hottest club in the world by Mix Mag, in November 2005. She also promoves the Robotika´s night at Club Vibe (project that focus the new house tendencies). She was the only female dj to play in the brazilian edition to Creamfields Festival that happened in Curitiba in November 2005.
She already played with great names from the e-music scene like: Deep Dish, Layo & Bushwacka!, Danny Howells, Danny Tenaglia, Halo Varga, Svën Vath, Lee Burridge, Steve Lawler, Del Costa, Ricky Rian, Greg Vickers, Gee Moore, Tania Vulcano, Mau Mau, Renato Cohen, Murphy, Fabrício Peçanha, Anderson Noise and others.

andré startete 1991 sein erstes dj set in eienem der frühesten clubs berlins, im walfisch (berlin mitte), dem heutigen SAGE club .

darauf folgen diverse sets im umland von berlin, eigene veranstaltungen wie z.b. die TECH-EPISODE 1-3 in brandenburg und bald darauf im jahre 1996 diverse resident dj gigs in berlin wie dem DELICIOUS DOGHNUTS, dem OXYMORON und diversen bars.
div. bookings wie zb. im SAGE, GEBURTSTAGSKLUB, SODA, KULTURBRAUEREI, DELI, WMF, MARIA am ostbahnhof usw. füllen die nächsten jahre bis 2000 aus.
1997 eröffnete andré seinen eigenen recordstore STUDIO B. REC. in bernau bei berlin und führte diesen zusätzlich mit eigenen veranstaltungen in und um berlin.
Im sommer 2001 zieht er mit dem recordshop zurück in die hauptstadt berlin und setzt seine tätigkeit im friedrichshain in der boxhagener strasse fort.

fortan spielt er immer öfter in locations wie dem DELI, WMF auf diversen OPEN AIRS und in der MARIA am ostbahnhof,
wo er resident dj wird und später seine eigene partyreihe etabliert. hier lädt man sich befreundete und geschätzte labels ein, wie zB. PLAYHOUSE, PERLON, FESTPLATTEN usw.
im jahr 2002 fusioniert der studio b recordstore mit dem pitchrecordstore aus berlin prenzlauer berg. sein partner gründete bereits zwei jahre zuvor das label freizeitglauben welches nun fortan bis zum ausscheiden seines partners 2004 von den beiden fortgeführt wird. der recordshop erhält den namen des schon existierenden labels. weiterhin entsteht in dem selben zeitraum die gleichnamige bookingagentur, die es sich zur aufgabe macht den eigenen auf dem label releasenden künstlern eine breitere basis zu verschaffen
und auftritte zu vermitteln.

von dezember bis februar 2002/2003 ist der FREIZEITGLAUBEN BERLIN auf labeltour in deutschland, österreich und der schweiz erfolgreich unterwegs. es folgen auftritte in polen, frankreich, schweiz, spanien und mexico.

mit der entwicklung in berlin ab 2002 und dem zustrom vieler produzenten/labels und dj’s in die hauptstadt, veränderte sich auch schon bald die allgemeine clubsituation. immer mehr clubs, immer mehr veranstalter, immer mehr dj’s !
andre zog sich zurück aus der eventproduktion um sich auf den recordshop und das label zu konzentrieren.

andre macht es sich zur aufgabe die musik und die entwicklung der musik im elektronischen bereich mit dem nötigen ernst und der notwendigen qualität in den clubs zu präsentieren.
sein impuls ist die ständige weiterentwicklung in technik wie auch stilistik…die präsentation dieser weiterentwicklung ist sein ziel.

andrés musikalisches spectrum ist gross. musikalisch beeinflusst wurde er von den altmeistern wie juan atkins, dj sneak, carl craig, charles webster, louie vega, aber auch leute wie erik satie, serge gainsborough scheinen seinen musikalischen nerv getroffen zu haben, und auch wenn sein weg bis heute eher unauffällig war, und sich mehr über sein schaffen im label und recordshopbereich vermittelt hat, durch seine feines gespür für die selection von deephouse bis hin zu techno hat er schon diverse floors gerockt. deepness ist ihm ein essentieller faktor in seinen sets wie auch in seinen eigenen produktionen und seiner arbeit mit musik.

Simon Emerson Kidder tanzte schon früh aus der Reihe. Er wollte hedonistischer Musiker statt Sandkastenprinz werden.

Die zündende Idee kam dem damals 16 jährigen, als er das erste Mal bei einem Rave im heimatlichen Regensburg durchdrehte und vom Dancefloor nicht mehr wegzubekommen war…

Anfangs legte Emerson in kleinen Clubs seiner süddeutschen Heimatstadt Hip Hop, Breakbeat & vereinzelt Techno Platten auf. Fleißig und hartnäckig arbeitete er sich durch die Clubs, bis er schließlich im Münchener Ultraschall landetete, und dort beim ersten Gig gleich so überzeugte, dass er direkt die Einladung für die nächsten Veranstaltungen in der Tasche hatte.

Dabei lernte er Holgi Star, DJ, Agenturbetreiber & Veranstalter aus der Techno Metropole Berlin, kennen.

Zack!- Hatte er das Angebot, die Tour des Timing- Labels durch Deutschland zu begleiten.

Nicht auf dem Erfolg ausruhen, und die Lauscher offen halten; dass war bei Emerson schon immer so. Beim Auflegen ist er nicht beim Breakbeat & Hip Hop geblieben- er entdeckte Techno und danach die langsameren, housigeren Varianten der elektronischen Tanzmusik.

Das macht seinen frischen & deepen Sound aus, der ihm in Windeseile Residencies in vielen, wichtigen Clubs in Berlin & Deutschlandweit einbrachte - unter anderem dem ehemaligen Sternradio Berlin, in den heißen Sommermonaten gestaltete er im Garten des Casino Berlin die nicht enden wollenden Sonntage und entwickelte dort seinen Sound immer weiter.

Ganz aktuell ist er wieder bei der viel zu kurzen legendären Home Sweet Home Saison mit dabei.

Und weil sich Erfolg auch außerhalb der Heimatstadt herumspricht, geht es von Berlin aus in die großen Städte der Republik; und weiter nach Ibiza, Tokio, Miami, Moskau, Sao Paolo und den vielen Metropolen in denen die Menschen nach elektronischer Tanzmusik hungern. Seit 2008 ist Emerson auch resident bei Chris Liebings’s Spin Club Nächten auf Ibiza

Im Club sieht sich Emerson als Diener der Party und ihres Publikums, der den tanzenden eine schöne, erschöpfende Nacht garantiert. Er will nicht der Mittelpunkt sein, der mit viel Getöse seine Egotrips auslebt. So ist er eigentlich immer noch mehr Fan als professionell kalkulierender Künstler geblieben. Einer, der die Musik liebt und lebt und die Menschen zum tanzen bringen will- ein DJ eben…

Doch sich rein auf die Musik der anderen verlassen, das will Emerson schon lange nicht mehr. Deshalb gründete er mit seinem Freund & Partner Holgi Star, ein eigenes Musiklabel, um zu zeigen, was er für gute Musik hält. Auf über 50 Releases und zig tausende verkaufter Schallplatten brachte es Kiddaz. FM von 2001 – 2008, bevor Emerson 2005 anfing sich auch auf die neuen Labels Freakwaves & Micro.fon & Kiddaz.LTD.Series zu konzentrieren.

Auf Micro.fon veröffentlichen Emerson und gute Freunde minimalen und eingängigen peak time techno, auf Freak Waves, finden housigere und melodiösere Tracks ihr Zuhause.

Zusammen mit Dietrich Schönemann betreibt er das in New York ansässige Freakwaves, indessen Diskografie sich so bekannte Namen wie Luna City Express, Ruede Hagelstein, Butane, Dave Shokh oder Tim Xavier wieder finden.

Im Nachhinein sieht das alles so aus wie eine musikalische Bilderbuchkarriere. Aber der Erfolg war nicht vorprogrammiert. Bei seiner ersten, selbst produzierten Schallplatte, war Simon Emerson Kidder nicht wirklich klar, ob sie überhaupt jemand zur Kenntnis nehmen würde. Doch dann wurden selbst Stars wie Laurent Garnier auf diese Scheibe aufmerksam und spielten diese rauf und runter. Doch damit nicht genug, auch für die Erfolgreichen Mayday-, Love Parade- und Time Warp Compilations wurden Tracks lizensiert. Sein erstes Album „ Kidd Rock“ avancierte mal eben so zum Album des Monats bei der - Raveline, dem großen Zentralorgan der deutschen Clubmusikgemeinde. Mittlerweile hat er zwei eigene Alben, vier Mix Compilations und über 40 Vinyl Maxi´s auf eigenen und anderen Labels veröffentlicht. Dazu kommen zahlreiche Remixe, ein eigens komponierter Soundtrack für den Hustler - Adult Movie „DJ Groupie“ und mehrere musikalische Beiträge zu Chris Liebings neuster Spinclub Live at Space/ Ibiza DVD.

Wer DJ, Produzent und Labelmanager in Vollzeit ist, dessen Leben ist Musik.

Nebenbei gibt es nur noch eine Sache, der Emerson verbunden geblieben ist; dem Sport, und dort besonders dem Tennis.

„Ich mache elektronisch Musik, so lange ich stehen kann und ich habe eine sehr gute Kondition…„ der Sport ist Emersons Ausgleich für das häufig wilde, exzessive Nachtleben.

already at a very young age, simon emerson kidder marched to a different tune. he wanted to become a hedonistic musician instead of a prince in the sand pit. the breaking idea came to him at the very young age of 16 when he – for the first time – went to a rave sponsored by the local techno–mag sucker .

in the beginning of his career, emerson put on breakbeat records in small clubs in his hometown south of germany. being a diligent and persistent nature, he worked his way through various clubs until he finally made it to one of munichs topspots - the ultraschall. there he immediately won the crowd at his first gig and was directely reinvited to his next one. That’s where he met holgi star, dj from the major techno – capital berlin. and just like that – emerson was promptly offered to join the tours of the timing & bash labels throughout germany.

still, from the beginning it has been emersons motto not to rest on his laurels and to
always keep his ears to the street. putting on music, he would not simply stay with
breakbeat but instead he discovered techno and later-on the slower house adapted
variants of electronic dance music. this great mixture of sounds still distinguishes emerson’s fresh and modern style of music .
his reputation spread like a wildfire and it very soon opened the doors to many important techno clubs in germany, such as the casino or sternradio in berlin and the prinzip club in munich, where he became resident dj.
during the hot summer months he played the long and neverending sundays in the garden of the berlin casino. the positive side effect:
it enabled him to constantly work on his signature sound. and because success does not rest in its hometown, it went on and on – from berlin to the big cities in germany and further, to ibiza, sao paulo, tokyo, miami and many cultural centres in eastern europe where people are starving for electronic dance music.

although by now emerson got used to flying from one big city to another, he still likes it
best to put on music in berlin after all. here he just feels most comfortable, deeming
berlin his artistic home. here he is also surrounded by producers, djs and fans with whom he gets along best, not only in regard to interpersonal relationships but also relating to the style of music. in the club emerson sees himself as a servant for the party and its audience , doing his best to guarantee a wonderful and exhausting night to the dancing crowd.
he does not want to be the centre of attention, who – with much boasting – boosts his own ego. as such, he actually still remains to be more of a fan than a professionally
calculating artist. someone, who loves and lives music and who wants to make other
people dance – it all comes down to simply being a discjockey.

for a long time now, it has not been sufficient for emerson to only depend on the music of others. that is why he and his friend holgi star built up their own musiclabel kiddaz.fm records. emerson just wanted to show what he thinks good music really is. in the years between 2001 until 2005 kiddaz.fm came out with over 50 releases and made it up to over 100.000 units sold, until emerson focused on new labels, such as micro.fon, freak waves and style rockets, last year. micro.fon is the home label for simple and more minimal techno music. In cooperation with dietrich schoenemann, emerson also runs the label freak waves located in new york city. the discography of this label contains such famous names as butane, luna city express, ruede hagelstein, williams or tim xavier.

in retrospect it all appears like a musical textbook career.
by now, emerson has released two own artist albums, currently working on the third one, two mix cds (boy got bass 3 has just been reocrded) and over 30 vinyl maxis and various remixes. in addition, he composed an own soundtrack for the hustler porn dj groupie the
movie and on and on it goes…

someone who is a dj, producer and a label manager at the same time does not simply make music, his life is music. other than that, there is only one more thing that emerson kept on to and this is sports, especially tennis. i make electronic music until i collapse and
i‘m in a very good shape. to emerson, sports offer the perfect balance to the often wild and excessive nightlife.

however, match partners in musical means are mostly artists, whom emerson has helped quite a lot boosting their career and to whom he feels very close: helmut dubnitzky, dave shokh or marcus meinhardt and many others. we can prepare
ourselves for a sound dose of emerson within the next coming years.
